The elevator will be
installed and running by the end of this month. In fact, the entire project
will be completed, including finishing the interior
of
the tower. (You can see Georgia Brehm, BRAM Director, and Anita Alic, Board
Member, look at the elevator shaft on the left that will soon contain an
elevator.) We will have a dedication ceremony in early December. The
idea of an elevator for the museum arose ten years ago in 2001. However,
fundraising never developed and the project languished until late 2006 when
Richard Nye donated $100,000 to jumpstart the capital campaign, which we
launched in July 2007. We are very thankful for the many donors who
supported us in economic up-times and down-times. Obviously, we would not
have an elevator without their support. Our next phase is to install a
memorial brick walkway from the parking area to the entrance of the
elevator/fire stairs tower. This will be installed in Spring of 2012. If

From the Director's Notebook . . .
Just
Desserts". The evening will feature a number of romantic melodies in
keeping with Valentine Day including such favorites as: It's My
Party, What Kind of Fool Am I, and Anything You Can Do.
The event will be directed by Stephanie Rowe. In addition to the
musical treats celebrating the occasion, delectable desserts, prepared
by the fabulous chefs of the area, will be featured to complement the
musical gala. Pictured above are members of the musical group that
